Start your 4th of July weekend off by participating in the virtual 2020 Yorktown Independence Day 8K & 5K!
While the COVID-19 pandemic prevents us from hosting this event live and in person, we've assembled a fantastic virtual race to keep you engaged and motivated. Sign up for the virtual 8K or 5K and receive the following:
Athletes may elect to run/walk a virtual 5K or 8K and athletes may choose to do their run/walk either on their own running route "Race Anywhere" registration option, or they may choose to run the actual race course "Race Course" option. You must select the correct option in order to take advantage of tracking and results posting using RaceJoy.
Please note that if you choose to do the actual race course, there will be nobody at the start/finish, there will be no aid stations, and there will be no course markings. You will need to use the RaceJoy app to locate start/finish, turns and 5K turn around. Please familiarize yourself with the app and the race course prior to beginning the run/walk.
Athletes will have from Friday, July 3 at 8:00 AM until Sunday July 5 at 7:00 PM to complete their run/walk and submit their results.
Live Phone Tracking, GPS Progress Alerts and Cheers!

Download the RaceJoy mobile app in advance to ensure proper phone setup. Invite your friends and family to track you and send you cheers!
